FOR those who’ve always dreamt of traversing the globe but always seem to have an excuse crop up, well, now’s your chance! Bosch is currently looking for six young innovators from across the globe to be a part of its Bosch World Experience.

Selected candidates will be sent on a 16-day trip across the world where they will get to visit well-known projects Bosch is involved in, including destinations such as London, Panama City, San Francisco, Shanghai and Singapore.

Bosch, a global supplier of technology and services founded over 125 years ago, is actually more than meets the eye and not just the producer of cordless screwdrivers, washing machines and spark plugs.

“Many people are only familiar with a fraction of the solutions that Bosch offers,” said Bosch marketing manager, Karoline Hagen. “Bosch World Experience will offer its international participants an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at six major projects in which Bosch is involved, including areas one might not expect to find us.”

Lucky six: Participants will have a chance to visit the London Tower Bridge, which opens up to 1,000 times a year to let ships pass – with the help of Bosch's technology.

The trip, where participants will learn about Bosch’s contribution to major projects, such as the London Tower Bridge’s hydraulics system, isn’t going to be the only thing to be enjoyed. Each of the stops on the trip will also include a full program of complementary activities.

In London, for instance, the six Bosch World Experience participants will be able to take part in a blogger workshop while in San Francisco, they will take a tour of the city on e-bikes.

The catch to this exclusive journey is simple – involve the community via social media. The six travellers will have to report on their experiences with posts, pictures and videos on their social media channels. The community’s interaction via these channels will then be summarised in a blogumentary on a special website.

So, if you think you’re up for the challenge and “have an affinity for social media and a sense of curiosity,” as per the search’s prerequisite, hurry up! Submit your application at www.experience-bosch.my by May 16.
