Just a few days after the Critics Choice Awards 2012 was held in Los Angeles, viewers all over the world were treated to the 69th Golden Globes Awards, where films The Artist and The Descendants were top winners, while actors George Clooney (The Descendants), Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady), Octavia Spencer (The Help) and Michelle Williams (My Week With Marilyn) took home awards for their acting skills.

A week before, the 38th People’s Choice Awards celebrated selections made by 40 million voters – the big winner of the night was pop star Katy Perry, who was honored in five categories; favorite female artist, tour headliner, song of the year for E.T. with Kanye West, music video for Last Friday Night and TV guest star for How I Met Your Mother.

If you missed these three awards shows, don’t worry because there’s plenty more to look forward to, as there are several awards shows happening soon.

The 18th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards, which will give awards in an array of film and television categories, is happening this Sunday, and two weeks later the hype moves to British shores with the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) 2012, to be held on Feb 12.

On the same day, over in Los Angeles, California, the 54th Grammy Awards will take place – nominees include Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.
