Gabourey Sidibe is an Oscar-nominated actress and now we know where she got that talent from.

Not wanting to ride on her famous daughter’s name, Gaby’s mom, Alice Tan Ridley auditioned for the America’s Got Talent reality TV competition.

No need to lie here but Mama Alice was sure on fire belting out Etta James’ At Last to an appreciative audience and panel of judges.

Alice blew everyone away with her vocal prowess and presence on stage and didn’t once mention to the judges or the crowd that she indeed is Gaby’s mommy.

For the past 20 years, Alice has been singing for the subway passengers underground and feels like its time she brought her talent mainstream. I think that she should too…
