If you have 233 friends on your social network, it would appear that you’re an average Malaysian.

Research firm TNS Digital Life, which studies online behaviours and trends, have released some data from what it claims to be the “largest and most comprehensive study of the global digital consumer” and found that Malaysians top the list around the world with the highest number of social media friends.

Malaysia boleh!

It has been reported that about 50,000 people worldwide were surveyed for this study.

The closest countries to us are Brazil (231)  and Norway (217). Japan is the lowest with an average of 29 friends.
