I’m so glad you’re here. There’s something exciting I want to share with you and it involves a director, a movie and me acting a fool in front of the camera.

First up, get your head out of the gutters. I’m talking about my very first interview with one of Malaysia’s finest film makers, Chris Chong.

He stopped by Studio V in 1Utama last week to share with me (and the rest of the R.AGE team – minus Nasa) everything about his latest movie Karaoke.

It sounds like a great movie – at least I assume that they don’t just let any movie get screened at the Cannes Film Festival, right?

Yup…Karaoke is only the second Malaysian movie to be featured in the prestigious film festival ever! It was also featured at the recent Pusan International Film Festival. Awesome.

Written by Shanon Shah, Karaoke tells the story of Betik (and it’s a dude…) returning to his village and helping out at his mother’s karaoke joint. The movie features Zahiril Adzim, Mislina Mustaffa, Mohd Hariry and others.

Karaoke will be showing for ONE WEEK only starting TODAY until Dec 2  at GSC, Midvalley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. Be sure to enjoy the movie and it’ll definitely bring you back to the nights when you scream into the microphone and imitate your idols.

You do sing karaoke, right? Come on…everybody does. Even our very own Datuk Siti Nurhaliza loves to karaoke. Don’t believe me? Here’s the proof:
