According to CNN, Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger announced this great news during their recent quarterly earnings call. They have enlisted Toy Story and Toy Story 2 director, John Lasseter to direct the fourth movie.

And it will be an all-star team as Lasseter will be joined by Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich, Up director Pete Docter and Finding Nemo director Andrew Stanton, as reported by The Verge.

“We love these characters so much; they are like family to us,” said Lasseter, as published on the official Disney fan club website, D23.com.

“We don’t want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what’s gone before. Toy Story 3 ended Woody and Buzz’s story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another Toy Story movie. But when Andrew, Pete, Lee, and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie — and I wanted to direct it myself.

Toy Story, which stars Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Don Rickles, debuted in 1995. The second instalment of the movie, Toy Story 2 came out four years later followed by Toy Story 3 in 2010, which gave the trilogy an emotional ending.
