It’s been a relatively quiet transfer window so far, but things are about to get real interesting thanks to two exciting players.

Southampton starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has had top Premier League clubs scrambling thanks to rumours that one of the big guns will be making a move for him – who knows where it started.

But that’s not important anymore, because Oxlade-Chamberlain has been watched by Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli and Alex Ferguson himself in the past week. He’ll definitely be leaving Southampton now, either in this transfer window or the next.

According to the DailyMail in the UK, the winger, whose pace has drawn comparisons with fellow Southampton academy product Theo Walcott, is said to be a Chelsea fan, and should the Londoners come in with a bid, he’d prefer to join them.

Apart from Oxlade-Chamberlain (who will surely give the clubs’ jersey stores a boost in iron-on alphabet sales), rumours of Liverpool’s interest in Ajax goal machine Luis Suarez should also set-off a long transfer saga, as plenty of clubs will be interested in the striker who outscored Lionel Messi last season with a whopping 49 goals.

Liverpool are in desperate need of a striker who could ease the burden on Fernando Torres, so the rumours that they are preparing a bid for Suarez aren’t too hard to believe.

But they will definitely face stiff competition for him, not just from the Premire League but across Europe as well.

I could see Chelsea going in for him as well, given their current reliance on Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka’s erratic form this season. Suarez’s ability to play in a number of attacking positions will also make him a good fit for Chelsea’s 4-3-3 formation.

So that’s TWO players who are generating some transfer buzz at the moment. Any other players you think you’d like to see going to your clubs?
