Following the exciting live telecast of the Golden Globes Award on the red carpet, social media is again being used by Hollywood.

This time, it’s for a good cause (although, you would have noticed the celebrities were wearing a ribbon in solidarity with the people of Haiti on the red carpet).

On the Golden Globes, Nicole Kidman spoke out asking for people to support and contribute to Haiti. She also mentioned that George Clooney was organising a telethon in aid of Haiti.

Well, the telethon is now showing live (WATCH IT HERE – MTV has collaborated with Facebook for this), and over 100 Hollywood stars – actors and musicians – have come together to pick up calls, including Mel Gibson, Meg Ryan and I think I also saw Ben Affleck.

George Clooney earlier introduced the programme, and Halle Berry as well as Leonardo Di Capriowas also on the show to share her thoughts and called for people’s support. In between, there will also be performances. Coldplay and Bruce Springsteen has already performed, and Stevie Wonder is on now. Anderson Cooper is also reporting live from Port-Au-Prince throughout the show.

You don’t want to miss this, and make a donation if you can.
