Over the last 13 years, Cheer has been supported by some great brands – and this year will be no different! Some of these brands have supported the cheerleading competition for many years, while others will be coming on board for the first time at Cheer 2013.

Local fashion brand Momoe, for example, has sponsored Cheer since 2004!

“The loud cheers, positivity and supportive spirit at Cheer never fail to bring us back. It’s so exciting!” said Red6 Labels managing director Angela Yap, representing the brand.

“Our slogan is ‘Wear Your Way’. It’s all about being brave to be yourself and feeling good about it, and that is what being a cheerleader is all about,” she added.

Another returning sponsor is Resort World Genting, who will be sponsoring 400 tickets to their newly-renovated Snow World (worth RM10,000).

“Engaging with youth is very important to Genting. Youth is the driving force of the future, and they will also be our main clients eventually,” said Resort World Genting marketing manager Andrew Leong.

Cheer will also be welcoming some new brands this year such as Massimo Bread, who will be launching their new product, the Massimo 100% Whole Wheat Duetto & Favorito Cream Rolls.

“Our products are in the health category, which goes well with Cheer as it is a healthy sport,” said [NAME!!!], product manager of Massimo Bread.

Mamee Double Decker, who will also be launching a new product at Cheer 2013 – Mister Potato Fun Fries. Senior Brand Manager Cheryl Yong said: “As we are targeting the youth market, Cheer is the perfect platform to introduce our new product.”

Ginvera, on the other hand, will be sponsoring their NuTeen products, which are targeted at 12 to 21-year-olds.

“NuTeen is a skincare brand specialised for treating oily skin which commonly affects teenagers. At Cheer, we hope to educate teens on the importance of taking care of their skin,” said group product manager Shellies Tan.

Goodie bags this year will also contain two packs of Sofy Body Fit Pek Sakus from Sofy.

“We want to encourage young people to do what they want, and for females to always feel comfortable without worrying about their movements,” said Uni-Charm Corporation marketing executive Winny Wong.

Cheer 2013 is organised by R.AGE and presented by MARIGOLD HL Low Fat Milk. Silkygirl is the main sponsor and Sugus is the co-sponsor. Red FM is the official radio station.
