Apparently, Manchester United star Nani isn’t even among the six nominated players for the PFA Player of the Year award.

Despite being consistently brilliant, and providing the table-toppers a steady stream of goals and assists, the Portuguese winger will not get the chance to make it five winners in a row for United.

Wayne Rooney bagged the prize last year, Ryan Giggs the year before, and Cristiano Ronaldo the two before that.

Reports say United will be represented by Nemanja Vidic, who was nominated alongside Samir Nasri, Gareth Bale, Carlos Tevez, Scott Parker and Charlie Adam.

If it does turn out to be true, then it would be a real travesty. Nani probably wouldn’t have won it anyway, but for him to not even get a nomination really sucks.

It’s hard to argue with the six, though I think Nani should have just pipped Charlie Adam to it. Nani has been a match-winner for United on so many ocassions this season, and quite often in spectacular fashion too.

In any case, it’s gonna be a real interesting one this year. There isn’t much to separate any of the nominees, unlike last year when Rooney was a clear favourite. I wouldn’t mind any of those players winning it – except Carlos Tevez.
