After hours of waiting for him at the Arrival Hall in KLIA, I finally caught a glimpse of Ne-Yo. Wanna hear a shocking news? He’s NOT a diva.

People around us (who were waiting for their relatives/friends arrivals) were surprised to see photographers and reporters lounging at the waiting area.

Some actually came up to us to ask if a VIP was arriving. When we answered Ne-Yo, they mostly gave us blank looks (the pakcik and makciks la…)

My photographer said, “Baguslah you tak kenal. Senang saya nak buat kerja.” Haha.

Thank goodness I had friends with whom I chatted the hours away as we waited for Ne-Yo to arrive.

We (okay, I) anticipated his arrival at 12pm and he showed up close to 2pm…hmpph. It doesn’t pay to be early, I tell you.

But the moment someone shouted “It’s Ne-Yo” (or something like that), everyone rushed over to the singer.

The photographers clicked away as Ne-Yo and his entourage of 30 made their way to their waiting cars.

Initially, there was a confusion as to which one was Ne-Yo in that large group until someone pointed out, “The guy in white shirt, glasses, cap and scarf.” Details…I like.

He was quiet. Didn’t seem perturbed by the flashes (I’m pretty sure he’s used to it by now), wasn’t annoyed, seemed to be in a great mood and even smiled and waved to his fans.

I tried my best to capture a video of his arrival on one hand and take a photograph to tweet on the other.

Yeah, my job is difficult, so you cannot complain if the image/footage are shaky or blur…okay?

As Ne-Yo and the hot chick (is that his gf? I don’t remember reading about Ne-Yo having a girlfriend) next to him got into the car, it was everybody’s chance to take the crooner’s photo.

Unfortunately, the reflection of the security guard standing in front of the door was obvious on the window, prompting one lady to go “Eh, muka awak saja nampak lah.”

“Bukan salah saya,” the guard retorted. Lol.

But Ne-Yo, being the gentleman that he is, asked his minders to wind down the window so that a bunch of fans (okay, three of them) could get his autograph. Aww…how nice of him.

Ne-Yo's die hard fans!

Ne-Yo's die hard fans!

Then he drove off, and here I am sitting at a fast-food joint, having paid crazy money for food that’ll go straight to my hips, just to use the power point and post this.

Not complaining…=)

xoxo,

Sharm
