Simon Cowell is off the market – well, kind of actually.

The grumpy, tight t-shirt loving American Idol judge popped the question to his girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy and surprisingly, she said yes. Well, who wouldn’t want to marry a man whose net worth is estimated at USD200mil? Grumpy or not.
Simon met Mezhgan on the set of American Idol where the latter works as a make-up artist and have been dating in the hush-hush.
What surprises everyone is that 50-year-old Simon has only dated Mezhgan for less than a year and is already ready to settle down.
He was with his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour for six years and reportedly dumped her because he never wanted to get married!

Sharm says:  Wow, Mezhgan must really know something that Terri didn’t. Maybe she knows just which shade of lipbalm Simon prefers.

JLo tanked on SNL
Jennifer Lopez hosted the famous night show, and guess what, she tanked so bad even her well-endowed back could not keep her afloat.
That was her second skit on SNL in 10 years and it garnered mixed reviews. Not everyone is born funny, Jen and although her impression of Rihanna on the We Are the World skit was amusing, the bootylicious singer didn’t do so well in the other segments.

Sharm says: No more TV skits for you Jenny…get back to what you do best – singing. On second thought, just stay at home and watch your kids.

Another Pussycat down
Kimberly Wyatt is leaving the Pussycat Dolls. Don’t know which one that is? Well, she’s one of the blondes and she loves to do splits on stage and in videos. Does that ring a bell?
The singer (if you could even call her that) cites “variables off-stage” as her reason to leave the mega successful group.
Gossip blogger Perez Hilton reported that Kimberly said, “Money and fame can’t buy happiness. Ultimately, I think that happiness is the most important thing in life and I think that once I started to get to know myself more and more I was like, ‘You know, I don’t think that happiness is within this group right now’,”.
Basically, what Kimberly is trying to say is that she’s tired of lead singer Nicole Scherzinger getting all the attention and she’s unhappy.

Sharm says: Just do us a favour, will you Kimberly? Promise us that you’ll never release a solo album. Thanks.

Archie’s story

David Archuleta has a story to tell, and he wants everyone to know about it. His memoir Chords of Strength is set to hit bookstores around the world and rest assured Archie’s fans, you’ll get your copy (because I don’t think anyone else would want to buy it).
Amazon notes the book will re-tell the singer’s “unexpected and inspiring journey, including how he overcame vocal chord paralysis to achieve his dream of being a singer. He reveals insecurities he felt about his voice – before he realised that he loved the way singing made him feel more than he disliked the way he soulded. In this personal memoir, David opens up about the strength he draws from his unshakable fait and unyielding family. He pays tribute to those who continue to inspire him and through their example help him believe in himself, his talent and his abilities.”

Sharm says: *Yawn*.

Gentlemen, not
Ne-Yo was detained by the Norwegian police after members of his entourage acted rowdy in a restaurant in Oslo last Sunday. It was reported that one of Ne-Yo’s crew members punched a bus boy and another ran around the kitchen yielding a knife and threatening people. What is up with these groupies?
Ne-Yo’s party left the scene but were immediately detained and searched by the Norwegian police, though there is no news on what the authorities found. The staff of the restaurant are looking to press charges on the singer, though he wasn’t the one who threw the punches. What?

Sharm says: Tsk, tsk, Ne-Yo. What would Kanye say?

Tell us what you think!
