THERE was a time when “sarong” was the go-to outfit for many folks before it was ditched for pants, skirts and worse, the uncomfortably tight skinny jeans.

Now, the time has come for everyone to make a statement. A fashion statement.
RandomAlphabets (RA) is inviting you to drop your pants and pull up a sarong and go back to the days when everything was free and breezy. Join the strangers from all walks of life who will come together dressed in sarongs for RA’s latest project, Keretapi Sarong.

Inspired by New York-based improvisation group Improv Everywhere’s No Pants Subway Ride events, RA is inviting everyone to take a train ride to celebrate the long-abandoned sarong.

“RA’s projects has always been about bringing people together, and we thought that this would be a good way to do that and celebrate something as ubiquitous to all Malaysians as the sarong,” said RA’s spokesperson Zain HD.

Keretapi Sarong will be held on Feb 25 from 4pm to 6pm. In line with RA’s conventions, the venue of the location will remain a secret until a time nearer the date.

Updates will be available at www.RandomAlphabets.com/KeretapiSarong.
