JUSTIN Timberlake married his longtime girlfriend Jessica Biel earlier this week and none of his former band mates were invited to the special occasion. Ouch!

Timberlake, 31 and Biel 30, had been dating for several years before getting engaged last December and the high-profile couple tied the knot at a private ceremony at a seaside resort in southern Italy last week.

The superstars sold exclusive wedding images and interviews to People magazine for US$300,000 (RM918,000) and released this joint statement: “It’s great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends.”

Erm, but isn’t it funny that the four guys that Timberlake literally grew up and shot to stardom with were not part of the celebration? Unless of course, they’re not friends anymore.

Timberlake’s former *NSYNC band members, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass were not included in the wedding’s guest list and their absence was noticed by most fans and haters alike. But why? Everyone thought that they were BFFs – forever.

The happily married couple.

In fact, there were rumours swirling that most of Timberlake’s so-called “best” friends were not invited to be part of the ceremony.

Bass however was pretty certain he snagged an invitation to the ceremony and even stressed that he wouldn’t miss it for the world.

The singer told US Weekly during Maxim’s Hot 100 party that, “He’s like my brother, so there’s no question about (whether or not I’ll make it to his wedding).”

Poor guy. He also raved about Biel, saying that she’s amazing and is one of the best people he knows. “She has always been one of the guys. She’s like a best friend,” he said.

Well, a best friend who doesn’t invite you to one of the most important days of her life, more like it.

Chasez on the other hand was busy attending his own brother’s wedding so he had an excuse to skip it even if he was invited.

Kirkpatrick and Fatone however, have not released any statement as to why they didn’t attend the wedding of one of their best friends.

Sharm says: I hope the rest of the boys got the message that Justin was trying to send – “Bye, bye, bye!”
