YOU guys know that I love Victoria Beckham, right? And that I secretly want to be just like her and I already have her singing voice to a T.

Posh Spice...=)

Posh Spice…=)

What? I never said that she was a great singer …
Anyway, as you all know, last week, my favourite Spice Girl gave birth to a beautiful baby girl (and all is now well in the world), and her footballer husband David Beckham posted this on his official Facebook page:
“I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx”

While the whole world went crazy over the name (some liked it, some hated it – well, I love it!) speculating over where the couple got the inspiration from (some even said they copied George Constanza of Seinfeld; go YouTube the video), David put all the rumours to rest. We finally have an answer people!
He took to his Facebook page to post a video explaining the meaning behind his baby daughter’s name. She was indeed named after the famous writer.
“Victoria’s favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird, it’s a very strong, passionate book and the author was Harper Lee, and that is where Harper came from.” (Oh my goodness, that is also one of my favourite books! We are so alike!)

David also went on to explain the meaning behind the middle-name ‘Seven’ which many say was an homage to his shirt number at Manchester United and England national squad. But that was only part of the reason.
“The main reason behind Seven was it symbolises spiritual perfection – the seven wonders of the world, the seven colours of the rainbow – and in many cultures it is a lucky number.
“We love the name and we love Harper Seven. We are very happy to have her in our lives and in our family, and it is an amazing time for our family right now,” he said in the video.
And unlike other celebrity parents who ‘sell’ their babies first photos to the highest-bidding magazine, David and Victoria used free social media websites like Twitter and Facebook to post pictures of their newborn.
In one of the photos, David is seen cradling his daughter and Victoria had captioned it as: Daddy’s little girl!” and in another, Victoria holds a sleeping Harper which her husband captioned as: “I took this picture of my two girls sleeping.”
Aww…don’t you just love this couple and family even more now? They are just so perfect!
Oh, and in other news, Kate Hudson gave birth to a baby boy and and named Bingham Hawn Bellamy. Enough said.

Sharm says: I’ve always wanted to quit my job and go work as a nanny for the Brangelina clan … but I’m so undecided now. The Beckhams’ need me more, right?
