After more than two-decades on air, Oprah is finally pulling the plug on the most successful syndicated talk show ever – The Oprah Winfrey Show.

News has it that she’s gonna concentrate on her coming cable channel, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network.

Boo hoo! How are we (or more importantly, am I) going to survive a single day without seeing  Oprah on TV?

This chat from 30 Rock totally summarises how I feel about the Big O.

Tracy Morgan: So what’s your religion, Liz Lemon?

Liz Lemon: I pretty much just do whatever Oprah tells me to.

But good news is that we – the die hard fans who don’t believe that she’s having an affair with her BFF Gayle King – still have a year to see the queen of talk show on our small screen.

A quote taken from The New York Times’ blog says;

“The sun will set on the Oprah show as its 25th season draws to a close on Sept. 9, 2011,” Tim Bennett, the president of Harpo, said in a message to affiliates.

Oh well, this just means one thing, finally Ellen DeGeneres will be the only queen in the talk show business. You go, girl!

Got something to say on Oprah leaving the scene or are you just happy to finally get rid of her? Has Oprah inspired you in any ways or do you think she’s just full of herself?

Whatever your opinion is, just share it with me, yah…and I’ve always wanted to say this:

You’re getting a car! You’re getting a car! You’re getting a car!

p/s: You’re NOT getting a car from me.
