‘TIS the season to make a beeline for the nearest shopping mall, take in the Christmas decorations and feel overwhelmed by what gifts to get for others.
Christmas is this Sunday, and to get into the spirit of giving we’re going to try and save you the headache of figuring out what to give your friends and family by suggesting a few things.
It’s always a little tricky to shop for people, especially when it comes to clothes. How do you know if the person you’re buying for is a size 10 or 14, whether they prefer zippers or buttons, or whether they have too many or too few black items in their wardrobes?
This is why we’ve decided to go with some fashion items that your friends and relatives would probably not get for themselves, yet will definitely find useful at some point.
There are items you can give to people that they wouldn’t even know they needed, like a pair of flip-flops.
For days when you just want to feel comfortable and walk with ease (brunch with friends, beach holidays etc), this is a really thoughtful gift that your friends are guaranteed to appreciate.
Check out the selection of flip-flops at Havaianas – selected styles from their 2012 collection are already available (more styles will be making their way over throughout the year).
From patterned soles to bejewelled straps and raised platforms, there’s something for everyone in the collection.
There are designs for men, women, unisex, kids and even babies, so head on over and browse through the collection.
FYI, here’s the December promotion thats going on at Havainas at the moment (Until the end of December or until supplies last):
– For a minimum single-receipt purchase of RM100 in H Stores and TriBeCa, customers will receive a RM20 voucher (for Havaianas only) towards their next visit. (The RM20 Havaianas vouchers are redeemable only in the establishment issuing the voucher)
If there’s one thing a girl can never have enough of, it is accessories. There are so many types of pendants, bangles, rings and earrings out therejust waiting to find a home on someone’s dressing table.
This year, however, instead of going with the usual stuff, how about checking out accessories like funky headbands, floral brooches and studded belts for a change?
If you’d like to nudge your less-than-fashion-forward friends in the right direction, another idea is fascinators or cocktail hats, which they’ll probably be able to wear to fancy parties and events in future.
How often do you walk into a store and head straight to the hat section? Our guess is, not very often, and it’s probably the same case for your friends and family.
The thing about hats is, you will need them someday for costume parties, or a trip to a cold country, so instead of scrambling to get one at the last minute, help your friends out by surprising them with one.
There are so many types to choose from. For example: Berets and fedoras for your fashionista friends, warm wooly tops for your travel bug buddies and caps for sporty friends.
This is an extremely practical gift, especially if you have a whole bunch of friends and don’t want to break the bank trying to get them all gifts.
Leggings are still all the rage at the moment, especially now that it’s party season. They come in so many varieties and designs – floral, animal print, army camouflage, faux leather, metallic, retro, tie dye and so on.
