I had mentioned before on how the World of Warcraft TCG (WoW TCG in short) is enjoying a mini-revival of sorts, under Cryptozoic Entertainment. I had mentioned before on how the World of Warcraft TCG (WoW TCG in short) is enjoying a mini-revival of sorts, under Cryptozoic Entertainment.

(The game was developed and initially published by Upper Deck Entertainment, until 2010.)

Well here’s one place in the Klang Valley, where WoW TCG is well-supported: Cardmaster Malaysia, in Dataran Millenium, Petaling Jaya!

Freezing Band

Freezing Band

The place not only carries WoW TCG products, but holds regular tournaments as well!

Full address of the place is:

Lot 1-006 (First floor),

Dataran Millenium PJ, Jalan 14/1

Petaling Jaya 46100

Selangor

The place opens from 5pm till 11pm on weekdays, 3pm till 8 pm on weekends and is closed on Thursdays.

You can view a map of the area here http://www.wowtcg.com/locations/603866068/view.

Cardmaster currently hosts “Battlegrounds” tournaments on Friday nights, starting from 8.30pm. All you need to do to enter is by simply purchasing one WoW TCG booster pack  at RM14 (from any available expansion on sale there)

The top two players of the day will receive a foil promo Mind Freeze card, while players participating for the first time this season will receive a foil Lady Bancroft promo.

In addition to that, the place will also be hosting their very own Realm Championship Qualifiers (RCQ). The sealed deck RCQ was just held over the weekend, but hey, fret not if you missed that, as full details for the upcoming core constructed tournament are as follows:

Date: 27 March 2011

Start Time: 11.30am

Format: Core Constructed

Premier Level: Realm Qualifier

Entry Fee: RM35

Prize Structure:

1st prize – 12 Worldbreaker boosters, deckbox, Freezing Band Promo card, 1 Random Top 4 Promo card, 10 points

2nd prize – 8 Worldbreaker boosters, deckbox, 1 Random Top 4 Promo card, 10 points

5th to 8th – 3 Worldbreaker boosters, deckbox, 4 points

9th to 16th – 2 Worldbreaker boosters, 3 points

17th onwards – 1 Worldbreaker booster, 3 points

Obtaining an accumulated 10 points from the RCQs will automatically qualify you for the Realms Championships Finals, which will be held in Singapore this year (details available on wowtcg.com), which is an invitation-only tournament.

Needless to say, looks like camping out regularly here is a sure-fire way of rustling some cardboard matches, for a shot to rub shoulders with the top WoW TCG players!
