CHEER 2015 is back and this time it’s going to be even crazier!

Save the date: It’s going to be held on August 15, 2015, from 8am to 6pm.

Also, here’s some exciting news.

We’re having the CHEER finals in a new venue this year! Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, here we come.

It’s going to be off the hook and we’re so excited!

This year, we’re having it on only ONE day so the tension and drama is going to be even more intense.

No do-overs, no second chances.

The teams have to give it all they’ve got if they want to take home the CHEER trophy.

With the amazing quality we’ve seen in previous years, we’re sure this year’s performances are going to be even more mind-blowing as everybody steps up their game!

For teams in the northern and southern regions, we aren’t leaving you out.

Regionals are slated to be held sometime between July and August, so watch this space because we’ll confirm the dates soon.

The CHEER Foundation Grant

We are opening up chances to both new and existing teams to participate in CHEER by offering three CHEER Foundation Grants worth RM10,000 each to help with the expenses involved in training a team to be CHEER-worthy.

Three deserving schools can win the funding they need for professional cheerleading coaches and equipment, by sending in their application forms which can be downloaded from www.rage.com.my/cheer.

Talent is definitely a key requirement, but so is passion.

If you and your team have the right moves and want to leave a positive cheerleading legacy in your school, then please apply because we’re looking for you!

The grants will be handed out to two existing CHEER teams and one new team, so if your school hasn’t started a team due to financial problems, this is your big chance.

To apply for the grant, you’ll first have to send in a one-minute video of your team performing a routine.

Not sure what to do? There are tons of cheerleading tutorials online.

That’s how many of our current CHEER teams got started and look where they are now!

Don’t forget, though: Safety is our top priority here at CHEER.

Unsafe stunts will get zero points when our judges score the applicants.

What we really want to see is passion, creativity and energy so go all out (but safely)!

Teams must also submit their academic results from last year’s final exams because we love well-rounded teams who know how to balance homework and cheerleading.

The RAGE CHEER 2014 held at Putra Indo Stadium Bukit Jalil….

If your school has had any previous cheerleading achievements, list them down too.

Finally, submit an essay telling us why YOUR team deserves to win a cool RM10,000.

That’s all there is to it, so get cracking on those applications!

CHEER 2015 will be held at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre on Aug 15, from 8am to 6pm.
