THIS is the fourth year Sugus is back to sponsor Cheer, the nation’s premier inter-school cheerleading competition, and they don’t intend to stop any time soon.
The Wrigley Company managing director Ku Kim Huat said that the exciting and energetic event goes hand in hand with the company’s motto – to share fun moments.
“Cheer is a great programme because it ties in with Sugus’ brand objective (and encourages) teenagers to share moments of joy together. ‘Sharing Fun Moments’ is what Sugus is all about.”
Cheer 2013, organised by R.AGE and presented by MARIGOLD HL Low Fat Milk, is the 14th edition of the annual competition which will feature the best secondary school cheerleading teams in the country.
“We enjoy seeing them learn to work closely together and foster team spirit through this healthy event,” said Ku.
As per tradition, Sugus is planning to set up a booth at Cheer 2013, where cheerleaders and their supporters will get to participate in some fun activities and win exciting prizes.

Ku also added that his favourite part of Cheer is seeing the teams work hard and execute their performance in front of thousands of people.
“The participating teams are well prepared, demonstrate great teamwork and always strive to do their best. The loud cheers and support from the crowd at the final competition always adds energy and brings excitement. Every moment is so fun and enjoyable.
“Wrigley has been supporting Cheer for the last three years and we are pleased to be an integral part of this successful programme again this year.”
Join in the fun with Sugus at the Cheer 2013 finals, which will be taking place at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur on June 29 and 30. Admission to the event is free to all.
* Cheer 2013 is organised by R.AGE and presented by MARIGOLD HL Low Fat Milk. The main sponsor is Silkygirl and the co-sponsor is Sugus. Red FM is the official radio station.
